Thank you for your interest in forming a Medical Equity Student Chapter at your University! We are always welcoming in students who seek to promote health equity in their own college campus and community. Becoming a student chapter is a simple process and we are here to assist you every step of the way! Becoming a student chapter is as easy as 1,2,3!

1. Read over our Guidelines

Our guidelines are the blueprint into successfully starting a Student Chapter! It entails all the detailed steps necessary in order to start you off on the right path to formulating a strong foundation for your organization. They can be downloaded below and should be signed and submitted to medeqboard@gmail.com!

2. Fill out the Start a Chapter Form

The Start a Chapter Form gives us a good understanding of the backbone of your organization and how it will be operated. It is imperative that great thought and effort is put into choosing key components of your organization such as your Board Members, Advisor, and your Mission Statement. It can be found under the Student Chapters Tab on the website. Once completed, the Non-Profit Board will review your submission and offer suggestions for improvement.

3. Create an Annual Plan and get approved!

Once the Guidelines and Start a Chapter Form are filled out, signed, and approved, you are now ready to write your chapter's constitution and become a registered student organization at your University! All Student Chapters are required to create an annual plan highlighting the initiatives they plan to pursue throughout the year. This way, the Non-Profit Board can offer suggestions and allocate resources specific to your needs. With an approved Annual Plan, you are officially a Medical Equity Student Chapter!
